The Shenanigans Files
Just so everyone knows, Game 6 today. Miami 3-2. Wade Won game 5 on two free throws (and 43 points) after foul on Nowitzki with 1.9 on the clock. People say there was no foul. They are half right. There was no foul on Nowitzki. If you can get hold of the footage (or if bertie can explain to my idjit ass how to upload pics on to this) you'll see that Devin Harris is holding (proper holding...not slapping) Wade's right arm.
The refs pinged the wrong guy but made the rightish call. Anyway, we go back to Dallas to see the last 2. And trust me there will be 7 games here. I still can't believe that Dwayne Wade is doing what he is doing. Its too much .
But i suppose you gotta start believing in this kid. This finals has been one the most amazing personal displays i've ever seen. The only worry is that everyone in the league tries to copy the Heat and we go back to one superstar stand-around ball instead of the Phoenix style run-and-gun. Cos i hate Baron Davis. And watching teams like Phoenix, Dallas, Clippers, Spurs play the kinda ball they have is a thing of beauty.
And if White Men Can't Jump taught us nothing else, it showed us that a thing of beauty should be a joy forever.
John Keats....that's my man.

7 games ay spud!! Miami win in 6. Wade has been spectacular. I have to say however that Dallas lost this series by blowing game 3. As brilliant as Wade was the Mavs hit the self destruct button and never came back. It also gave the heat the confidence to play their game. You are not alone in your comments about hoping the NBA doesn't disintegrate into crap again because a "one man show" won the title. I hope that doesn't happen and don't think it will. Dallas need to stop sulking about the refs, it wasn't that bad. The refs didn't lose this series for them.
And now for the Draft summary -Ando manages to avoid death for 1 year.
I am extremely confused!!! Raptors picked Bargani, yeah whatever good luck. Then Chicago picks Aldrige (I am reasonably happy), Charlotte's new man MJ picks Morrisson (fair enough hope he goes better than Kwame for you), and Portland pick Tyrus Thomas and now I get confused as Portland trade Thomas and some Russian lamo on their current roster to Chicago for Aldridge. I am happy to have Thomas but why not just pick him with the 2??? What does Paxon think this Russian guy is going to do for us. Anyhow I am confused. We also picked up some Swiss born Italian playing 2 guard on a swap for Rodney Carney.. also confusing. Portland have made some good moves but Chicago have confused the hell out of me. I also noticed in a ESPN report that as part of the Curry trade debarkle we may have rights to swap 1st round picks with NY in 2007. That would be awesome, their team will crash and burn with Isiah running the show.
When I am less confused I will write again.
*Ando breathes a sigh of relief*
Sorry spud saw this on ESPN and had to post. Great picks by Isiah, off to a flying start.
20 - "Renaldo Balkman? He plays with great energy and is a great athlete, but he averaged fewer than 10 points per game at South Carolina. No other team would've taken him in the first round. He has no skills other than running the floor -- think of a poor man's Darius Miles. He would've been a decent second round pick -- a guy who might have made a roster. Wow."
29 - "Mardy Collins? He doesn't have a position, is a below average NBA athlete, and he can't shoot. And he?s the Knicks' sixth combo guard. Let's just get it over with -- Isiah's getting an "F."
